Stop and smell the Roses

Rose Quartz is a stone that I have been draw to before I even knew anything about crystals and stones.

I don’t know if it is because it’s pink (my favorite color) or that it’s also called Rose. Either way I have loved to cleanse it, charge it, meditate with it and wear it.

Cleansing:

There are many different ways I like to cleanse my crystals. One of my favorite ways is using a drop of Sandalwood essential oil on a paper towel and rubbing it against the stone while thinking positive thoughts. I take care in which crystals and stones I use my essential oils with because oils can actually break them down even if they have been tumbled.

Another method of cleansing my Rose Quartz is thru smudging. I either use sage or incense depending on my mood. You simply light your sage or incense and pass your stone thru the smoke. You can recite affirmations or simply feel the positive energy coming from the stone.

I tend to leave my stones and crystals on my window sill.  The light of the moon each night does a great job cleansing! Be careful when leaving your stones in the sun as Rose Quartz in particular can fade. I move them in the morning to keep this from happening.

Charging:

Charging my crystals and stones is a great way to set my intentions before meditating. The sun shining thru my window sill after being cleansed all night can charge them. I do my mediating in the morning so before I get started I like to hold my stone and picture a white light around it. I picture the purpose it will be used for and focus on positivity. It’s important to not let anyone handle them after charging them so the energy stays with the intentions you set.

Meditation:

After I have properly charged my Rose Quartz it’s time to meditate. I like to hold the stone in my receiving hand (left hand). I focus on how the stone feels in my hand, then I concentrate on the energy coming from it. Rose Quartz is known and the “Love Stone”, it is great for healing your heart Chakra. If you are looking for guidance in relationships (platonic, familial or romantic) or self-love this stone is amazing.  The Sandalwood essential oil used for cleansing comes in handy during meditation as well. It is grounding and uplifting which is great in assisting with any healing work done with this stone.

I tend to let my mind go where it wants to. My subconscious takes me where I need to go. I personally embrace my “monkey mind“. I feel as long as i”m focusing on my breathing and the energy from the stone and aromatic from the Sandalwood oil I still feel he benefits from my meditation.

Before ending my meditation I thank the universe for the energy given to me, and anything else that comes to mind. I’m thankful for health and wellness. I’m thankful for abundance. Taking the time to say affirmatins slowly brings me back to reality.

WEar it:

My favorite necklace was a Rose Quartz heart on a simple chain. I wore it every day (until the heart broke off!!!) and noticed a boost in confidence, most likely from the energy of self-love! It’s a beautiful stone and one that I would highly recommend for beginner crystal lovers and experts as well! Either way I hope you get the chance to take some time to stop and smell the roses with some Rose Quartz!

My name is Ashley Rose (a.Rose).  I grew up in a small town in Washington with a love for people, nature, animals and a passion for art. I have a strong connection to my spiritual side, but not any religion in particular. I also have a connection to nature (being a Taurus and an Earth sign that totally makes sense!) and truly believe getting lost in the woods can clear my mind better than anything else.  ARosemanifested.com is really a testament to the power of positivity, how it can manifest things in your life, and how it has manifested in my life in particular.

  1. Love this article and the advice about cleansing and charging! I use a rose quartz yoni egg, cleanse with sage and charge on the full moon. The first time I worked with rose quartz it was such an amazing feeling! I could feel love and good energy emanating from it.

    1. Thanks Emily! I am always so drawn to Rose Quartz! I have to stop and remind myself that there are other stones out there that are just as amazing! It’s just such a warm inviting feeling tho!! I’m glad you enjoyed my post and I can’t wait to hear from you soon!

  3. I’ve always been drawn to rose quartz…even when I really didn’t believe in the power of crystals at all. I just think it is beautiful. On a full moon sometimes I take my stones outside to charge. I’m thinking this pink moon we are getting next week would be a great time to charge. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that!

    1. The full moon is a great way to cleanse and charge your crystals and stones! Setting your intentions on a full moon can help thru out the lunar cycle. I personally think a pink moon will be extra helpful with all stones related to new beginnings and pink stones in general!
